Jennifer C. Anderson, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist (OH 6171) who specializes in child/adolescent psychology and pediatric psychology (the application of psychological principles to pediatric health challenges). She earned her doctorate from the University of Toledo (2004), completing her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship training (2005) at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Since 2005, Dr. Anderson has developed and provided psychological services to patients and families affected by cancer, sickle cell disease, and other hematological disorders at Rainbow Babies and Children’s hospital. She has expertise supporting youth and families through a variety of medical illness challenges in both inpatient and outpatient settings, helping them maintain quality of life while finding new ways to cope. She also has significant background and experience treating emotional and behavioral problems that are unrelated to physical illness. Dr. Anderson has expertise in cognitive assessment and in helping families obtain appropriate school services to suit a child’s or adolescent’s learning needs.
